• I'm an economist.
  • In 2000 I graduated from Faculty of Economics Warsaw University of Life Sciences and Aeres University of Applied Sciences CAH Dronten in the Netherlands. In 2004, I defended my doctorate at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. In 2009, I completed post-graduate studies in pedagogy at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. In 2018, I obtained the academic degree of doktor habilitowany at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
  • Since 2005, I am working at the Department of Economics and Organization of Enterprises of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, since 2020 as a university professor.
  • Since 2020, I am the Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the Chairman of the Economics and Finance Discipline Council.
  • In the 2020-2024 term at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, I am the Chairman of the Rector's Committee for the Quality Assurance, a member of the Senate Teaching Committee and a member of program boards at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Applied Informatics and Mathematics as well as the Faculty of Human Nutrition.
  • Since 1995, I am constantly cooperating with Polish and international organizations, advising them on the economic aspects of the agricultural and food sector, rural development and nature protection.
  • Since 2012, I am lead and technical auditor at Polish Center for Accreditation. I also evaluate applications for EU funds at Marshal's Office of the province Mazowiecki. In the years 2010-2015 I was an expert in organic production of the European Commission.
  • My scientific interests focus on the issues of agribusiness and bioeconomy; socio-economic adaptation processes in complex systems, coexistence of products from different agricultural production systems in distribution chains; institutions and institutional governance; as well as economics and management of innovation and technology.
  • I participated as a principal investigator or investigator in components related to economics and management in many research and applied interdisciplinary projects, including VitiSmart or potatoMETAbiome.
  • I did many internships abroad, which allowed me to improve my professional qualifications and knowledge of foreign languages. I received sholarships from Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellowship, Dekaban-Liddle Foundation and Socrates and Erasmus programs.
